The front courtyard
The aerial photo on page 8 shows a fountain in front of the main entrance. However, with the arrival in 1964 of a life-size statue of the Virgin Mary of Fátima with the three children Lucia, Francisco, and Tacinta, and three sheep by Alighini, sent from Carrara, Italy, the historic scene of the apparition of Our Lady of Fátima in 1917 was recreated.
